Caddis Cabin

New Build | St. ignatius, MT

We designed a home away from home for this family that celebrates all the things they love about Montana. Reclaimed materials and native motifs pay homage to the land that surrounds this cabin located in the Mission Valley.

Project Details:

With their architect already chosen, our clients had a clear design vision they needed help bringing to life.

Together, we defined the overall aesthetic and how they wanted the home to reflect their lifestyle in Montana. We developed a comprehensive design plan that informed every material and finish selection.

As absentee owners, they were able to rely on us to manage the process, from sourcing to vendor coordination, so their involvement could be streamlined. They made just one trip to review selections in person, meet with key partners, and give final approvals.

A Bit More About the Caddis Cabin

One of my favorite design elements in the cabin is the kitchen tile–a truly special detail that adds character and story to the space. The backsplash is made of handcrafted terra cotta tiles, each individually painted with an intricate eagle design. The motif holds deep significance for the homeowners, as it beautifully reflects a pair of eagles that nest in a charred, weathered tree near the home—an enduring symbol of resilience and Montana’s beauty.

Working with Kiyomi Bramlette was an absolute pleasure. She is an incredibly talented interior designer who made sure no detail was missed. Kiyomi really listened to our ideas and vision, while also bringing her own creative and thoughtful suggestions to the table. She provided great options, took charge when needed, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. We can’t recommend her enough!
